Solus is a Independent-family Linux distribution based on Independent. Independent, curated desktop operating system built from scratch with eopkg and Budgie/Plasma.
Strengths: Tailored exclusively for home desktop use without server legacy code; Creator of the Budgie desktop environment; Great out-of-the-box Steam and gaming setup with Linux Driver Management. Trade-offs: Independent package catalog is smaller than Debian or Arch repos.
