Guix System is a Independent-family Linux distribution based on Independent. Declarative, functional, reproducible operating system powered by GNU Guile Scheme and 100% Free Software.
Strengths: Configuration written in pure GNU Guile Scheme (Lisp); 100% Free Software endorsed by FSF; GNU Shepherd init replaces systemd cleanly with Scheme services. Trade-offs: No proprietary drivers or microcode blobs in official channels (Nonguix channel exists); Requires familiarity with Scheme/Lisp syntax.
